Recruitment of Graduate Trainees at E-1 level in Engineering & Geo-Sciences posts through GATE-2017

Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) released the employment notification for selection of the post of  Graduate Trainees

1. AEE(Civil)

Qualification : Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering with minimum 60% marks

GATE Subject : Civil Engineering (CE)

No. of Posts : 25 (UR-12, OBC-07, SC-03, ST-03)

2. AEE (Electrical)

Qualification : Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum 60% marks. Should have Certificate of competency as Electrical Supervisor

GATE Subject : Electrical Engineering (EE)

No. of Posts : 82 (UR-45, OBC-18, SC-13, ST-06)

3. AEE (Electronics)

Qualification : 1. Graduate Degree in Electronics Engineering with minimum 60% marks  2. Graduate Degree in Telecom Engineering with minimum 60% marks 3. Graduate Degree in E&T Engineering with minimum 60% marks
GATE Subject : Electronics and Communication Engineering (EC)

Qualification : Post Graduate Degree in Physics with Electronics with minimum 60% marks

GATE Subject : Physics (PH)

No. of Posts : 28 (UR-13, OBC-10, SC-03, ST-02)

4. AEE (Mechanical)

Qualification : Graduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 60% marks

GATE Subject : Mechanical Engineering (ME)

No. of Posts : 74 (UR-40, OBC-19, SC-09, ST-06)

Age Limit (with age relaxation) as on 01.01.2017 : 30 yrs

Selection Process : The selection process will comprise of the following:

a) GATE – 2017 : The desirous and eligible candidates having the essential qualification for the advertised posts should have appeared in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2017 as indicated above in para 1.1. (Essential Qualification & GATE Subject with Code under Eligibility Criteria) and declared qualified by the GATE-2017 authorities

b) The GATE-2017 Score in the subject mentioned against the post of ONGC will be considered by ONGC for shortlisting the candidates in the respective discipline for the further selection process of Personal Interview as per the criteria decided by the Management.

c) The final merit list shall be prepared based on the weightages assigned to various parameters as follows:

Particulars/ Marks :

i.    Weightage of GATE-2017 Score 60 Marks

ii.    Interview 15 Marks

iii.    Qualification 25 Marks ( 20 Marks for Essential Qualification & up to 05 marks for additional in line higher qualification*)

Total : 100 Marks

Note : Those who qualified GATE-2017 for recruitment to the posts notified in the said advertisement need to apply online for the posts in ONGC. However, they need not pay any registration fee.
